History:
Founded in 1998, The Remodeling Company quickly developed the reputation for being one of the preeminent full-service residential remodeling firms in the Greater Boston area. In 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006, it was recognized by the trade publication Qualified Remodeler as one of the Top 500 Remodelers in the U.S.

President Gary Moffie combines his passion for the craftsmanship and creativity needed to transform older homes into beautiful new living spaces with respect for the good business practices necessary to manage a smooth running, timely remodel. An honors business graduate of Babson College, he understands that materials and labor cost efficiencies and accuracy in estimating and scheduling are as important as fine woodworking to the completion of truly successful projects. In 2005 Gary, and The Remodeling Company, were selected as on of Remodeling Magazine’s Big 50 Contractors in 2005.

Qualifications:
The Remodeling Company’s work on your home will be under the supervision of some of the most highly qualified carpenters in New England. President Gary Moffie and his four project supervisors have well over 100 years combined experience in residential remodels and building trades and all are licensed construction supervisors in the state of Massachusetts.

Gary Moffie is also a Certified Graduate Remodeler (CGR). This designation from the National Association of Homebuilders (NAHB) is currently held by only about 1,000 contractors nationwide. A CGR is required to meet prescribed standards of business practice, possess a minimum of five years remodeling industry experience, have a proven track record of successful project management, complete a comprehensive education curriculum and pledge to uphold the program’s code of ethics.

The Remodeling Company holds memberships in the NAHB and its Remodelors Council, Boston Society of Architects, The Builders Association of Greater Boston and the Beverly Chamber of Commerce.

Gary Moffie is a frequent contributor to Remodeling Magazine, the largest remodeling trade publication in the U.S. The Remodeling Company’s Standard Operating Procedures Manual was examined in the June 2004 article, “Good Book, Operating procedures are written down for all to learn.”
